Kalpana Patel graduated from Leeds Dental School in 1989.
After completing her vocational training year in Surrey, she has worked at the Watford Practice for the last 25 years.
Dr Patel enjoys all types of dentistry. She has a calm and friendly approach to patient care. She particularly likes dealing with children and nervous patients. She is also very good with difficult denture patients. She has attended advanced courses in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, crown and bridge work and six month smiles orthodontic course. She has a special interest in bite problems and jaw joint problems. Dr Patel attends many courses throughout the UK in her areas of interest.
Dr Patel has worked for several years in association with Health Education East of England as a Foundation Trainer to postgraduate dentists. She has completed her PGCert in Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire.
Dr Patel thoroughly enjoyed her charity work in a makeshift dental clinic in a remote village in Nepal in 2012. She found the experience rewarding and looks forward to returning soon.
Outside dentistry, Dr Patel enjoys skiing, hiking and playing tennis.
